Berlin isn’t a hilly city and it does have great public transport, but it is a big city: neighbourhoods are large and it’s not the type of city that you want to drag a suitcase or backpack around. We checked out a number of different luggage storage apps, websites, and companies, and managed to find some great places to stash your stuff in the German capital.
Luggage Storage Apps
We found a number of luggage storage options using apps like Luggage Hero, Bounce, Stasher, and NannyBag. The majority of these locations were in Mitte (the city centre) around Alexanderplatz and Under den Linden. However, between each of the apps there were luggage storage options dotted around Berlin, including near Gorlitzer Park, Checkpoint Charlie, and near Tempelhofer feld.

Train & Bus Stations
- Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Central Station): The lockers at the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) are located in the car park outside the main building in area C on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor. Depending on the size of the locker, the costs vary between €4 and €6 per day.
- Central Bus Station (ZOB): Video-monitored lockers are available in a number of sizes, right up to jumbo-size for larger luggage items. Depending on the size, the lockers cost between €2 and €5 per day
Ubahn Stations
Lockers are available at the following train stations:
- Alexanderplatz
- Friedrichstraße
- Gesundbrunnen
- Hauptbahnhof
- Ostbahnhof
- Potsdamer Platz
- Spandau.
- Südkreuz
- Zoologischer Garten
Airport Locations
- Berlin Brandenburg: Lockers are available at Berlin’s Brandenburg airport on either an hourly or daily basis. This is ideal if you have a short stopover and want to quickly dump your stuff before exploring the city and coming back to the airport later that day or the following day. Luggage storage facilities are located in Terminal 1 on level U1.
Berlin Zoo
- Apps: Luggage hero listed luggage storage options near Berlin Zoo. As this app offers an hourly rate, it was ideal for visiting the zoo
- U-Bahn: There are luggage storage lockers at the Zoologischer Station near Berlin Zoo. The price varies depending on the size of the locker: €4 for 24 hours in a small locker or €6 for 24 in a large locker. You can also store your locker on a short term basis: €1.5 for 2 hours in a small locker or €2.5 for 2 hours in a large locker.
